Labor Preparation:

Results and research shows that starting weekly acupuncture/acupressure around 36 weeks is very beneficial for labor.
Treatments help with preparing the mother for birth physically and emotionally.
Gentle acupuncture/acupressure protocols help with:
  • cervical ripening, positioning, and relaxing tendons & ligaments. Also, great for relaxation, energy, and other symptoms that may be occurring.
Results have been amazing when started at 36 weeks! More efficient labor and delivery!

"I started seeing Autumn at 36 weeks for birth prep acupuncture. And my experience couldn’t have been more amazing! The acupuncture and acupressure protocols are extremely effective in preparing the women’s body and mind for labor and delivery. I had an extremely successful and swift 4 hour homebirth. But beyond this, Autumn is so caring, helpful, and easy to talk to. Her approach is so delicate and conforms to your level of comfort. I loved my experience and will continue to see her for general health and wellness!"  Facebook review

"After 3 solid weeks of crippling prenatal depression/anxiety (not to mention, 24/7 "morning" sickness and extreme fatigue) I decided to reach out to Autumn to see if acupuncture could help me get back on track. 48 hours after our first Healing Session (that's what I now call our visits!) my mood had greatly improved. Nausea had also lessened a great deal, although I was still pretty tired. After our second session (about a week later) I finally felt back to normal and I couldn't be more grateful. Healing Sessions with Autumn are absolutely going to be a permanent part of my self care / wellness plan. Not only are the results amazing, but the sessions are profoundly relaxing. Autumn has a sweet, calming presence and a gentle spirit that puts me totally at ease. She is never in a rush and fully present in what she does. And surprise; it's so much more than just getting poked with a bunch of needles! Just to give you an idea: During our first appointment, after a thorough health assessment to get a feel for where I'm at and what I need, I layed down on a heated massage table in a cozy little room that felt like a spa. There was a small heater at my feet as well, which is great because my feet are always freezing. Ahh, so toasty. She covered me with a soft blanket. There was a bolster under my knees and I was ultra comfy and content just to lay there feeling warm. The room was dimly lit and the music was soothing. She integrated acupuncture with aromatherapy and moxibustion then left me in solitude. It takes me a while to wind down totally, but after a few minutes I feel a release in both body and mind. I can feel my energy change. The room smells heavenly - like geranium and palo santo. I feel safe, secure and deeply nurtured. I fall asleep. After a while she returns with a packet for me containing helpful info and offers nutritional counseling and recommendations for supplements / lifestyle adjustments, etc. The zen feeling stays with me for hours. I would recommend Autumn to everyone and everyone. She is a true healer and sweet soul."
