AcupunctureWhat To Expect
The initial appointment includes a detailed intake of the history of current medical concerns, as well as details about past medical conditions. We utilize information from birth to the present. We also do pulse examination, and look at the tongue. The purpose is to account for the many factors that may contribute to an individual’s medical condition. The treatments may include all of the major modalities within Oriental medicine. These include acupuncture, herbal medicine, lifestyle consultation, and food therapy. We also do cupping, moxibustion, auricular therapy, and aromatherapy. We customize each individual treatment based on findings, and individual concerns Needle free techniques are also available such as Korean hand therapy which uses magnets, and auricular therapy which uses vaccaria seeds on the ear that correlate with the whole body. These are micro systems of the body and similar to how reflexology works. This is great for people that are looking for alternative to acupuncture and for children. We use high quality, gentle, one time use sterile needles, which are very thin. Most people feel sensations, but not pain from the needles. Most people are surprised at how gentle & relaxing acupuncture is. The needles stay in for 15-30 minutes depending on the condition and treatment. We treat one patient at a time. This gives us a chance to personalize your treatment and get to know your needs. Please allow up to 1.5-2 hours for the initial treatment and up to an hour for follow up appointments. Complimentary consultations available We are committed to your health and well-being. If we cannot help you we can help you find someone that can!
